As part of our family services, we offer a variety of training such as the Family Economic Success Series that provide training to parents on workforce development topics such as job readiness, career counseling, and job placement. At our recent workshop, we were filled to capacity with parents participating, asking many questions and taking detailed notes. Family Advocates were present to greet and support parents during the training. We are thankful to our community partners who participate in this particular training series, such as Mary Kay, City College of San Francisco, Self-Help for the Elderly and Chinese Progressive Association, who generously provide our families with parent resources. Other training series offered to families include Nutrition, Family & Adult Literacy, Family Stability & Success Workshop, Early Brain Development & Interactive Book Sharing, Raising A Reader, and How to Support Children’s Positive Behavior and Reduce Negative Behavior. Families please contact your child’s Teacher or Family Advocate for an upcoming calendar of events.
