As children are growing, so is their curiosity and desire to learn. They are curious about their surroundings and are beginning to develop an awareness of themselves. Our preschool curriculum is relationship based where teachers build relationships with each child and provide opportunities for children to build relationships with each other and discover more about themselves in a rich classroom learning environment.
We adopt The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool as a framework and develop our own curriculum based on the community needs. The Creative Curriculum is research based, comprehensive curriculum for programs serving children ages 3 to 5. Adding our own community needs into the curriculum allows us to meet the developmental needs of our children. We believe that a play-based setting is the best learning environment for the young children.
Teaching staff observe and document children’s emerging interests and progress through anecdotal notes, casino through the portfolio of individual work, and through collaboration with parents and family. We support the development of young children across all developmental domains including physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and language development, and provide a wonderful place for children to engage, belong, and love to learn. Our staff partner with families to better understand each child’s growth, family culture and, whenever possible, to support the child’s home language. Parent’s engagement is a very important element for a successful children’s learning experience. Our program strongly encourages parents to explore the world with their children.
