Richmond Center is located off Geary Boulevard, close to Lincoln Park on 33rd Ave, insdie the Pine United Methodist Church. We strive to provide a safe, healthy, and motivating learning environment for children ages 3-5. Teachers use Creative Curriculum to support children in developing their: social, emotinal, language, gross-motor, and cognitive skills. Our curriculum is based on both intersts of the center's children as whole and on individual needs. Children are taught: science, music, readling, writing, math, art, nutrition, and much more. Our dedicated and experenced staff is passionate about education and work hard to ensure that children will feel the same. We believe that a child's enjoyment in learning is the key to their academic success.
Our center serves 30 families from many different cultural backgrounds. As a staff, making each family feel welcomed and respected are among our top priorites. Parent involvement is always encouraged and welcomed. Educating and supporting familes as a whole is important to us. We provide a parent resource area, informational bulletin board, and conduct workshops on a variety of topics that include: health, mental health, education, and parenting skills. Parents are encouraged to give suggestions for lesson planning and to participate in class activities. We look forward to working collaboratively with families to enrich children's lives.
