Located between Nob Hill and Pacific Heights, the St. Luke’s Center provides a warm and engaging atmosphere for young minds to learn and grow. Teachers endeavor endlessly to create a developmentally appropriate environment where a love of learning is nurtured and encouraged to thrive. Children are encouraged to be the leaders of their own learning and are provided with the necessary tools to become independent, empathetic and capable thinkers. Families are also provided an abundance of resources and are encouraged to collaborate with staff to provide the best possible learning experience for the whole family.

Sherry Tao
(St. Luke Site Manager/Teacher)
Sherry graduated from National Taipei University of Education with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Family Education. She has been working with children for 3 years in Taiwan. She believes that the most important thing as a teacher is to remain supportive and accessible to all kids and be ready to provide guidance whenever this is needed.
Daysi Martinez
(St. Luke Center Family Service Specialist)
Daysi is a San Francisco native who is earning their BA in Ethnic Studies from CSU East Bay. They have worked in various roles serving families and children for over a decade. She also has experience working in the San Francisco Unified School District Autism Focused Program/Special Day Class (SDC) and supporting children with disabilities. Working for the school district and nonprofits has given her the passion to advocate for marginalized communities and promote early childhood education interventions. In addition, Daysi loves to dance Afro-Brazilian with a group based in Oakland.
